CHANGES TO ROAD HUMPS IN BRICK LANE AND PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS (DOUBLE YELLOW LINES) IN BRICK LANE AND OLDBURY ROAD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 257) Order 2024 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Order which comes into operation on 16th December 2024 will be to ban waiting by vehicles at any time (to be indicated by double yellow lines) in the locations referred to in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. A copy of the made Order, and any other relevant documents, can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive until the end of the six weeks from date on which the order was made. The made Order, notice and plan can also be inspected online at: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/roads-and-transport/traffic-management-orders/

4. Copies of the made Order can also be obtained by emailing journeysandplaces@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic and Transportation (quoting reference TG52/1547 Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE (summary of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions)

Brick Lane, (a) the west and south sides, opposite nos. 123 and 125; (b) the south side, opposite nos. 107 and 109 and Gough Road; (c) both sides, outside and opposite nos. 99 and 101; (d) both sides, outside and opposite nos. 73 to 79. NOTE: 30 metres of “School Keep Clear” restrictions will be located on the south side, between the locations described in (b) and (c) above. Oldbury Road, both sides, outside and opposite nos. 1 and 2 Oldbury Road and No. 125 Brick Lane.
