THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO. 18) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 12 August 2024 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:

a) To introduce “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

b) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 19 August 2024, and of all associated Orders can be inspected by appointment with the Parking Design Team from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the “Access Croydon” Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design).

4. Alternatively, copies of the Orders can be requested via email or post from the Parking Design Team. Email: parking.design@croydon.gov.uk. Postal address: Parking Design Team, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(Introducing double yellow line waiting restrictions “at any time”)

Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood

The south side

• Extending the existing yellow line restrictions at the junction with Biggin Hill eastwards by 10 metres.

• From the south-eastern boundary of No. 283 Beulah Hill to the common boundary of Nos. 277 and 279 Beulah Hill.

Brickfield Road, Thornton Heath

Both sides, for 7 metres either side of the junction with Carolina Road.

Carolina Road, Thornton Heath

• The north-west side, from a point 8 metres south-west of the junction with Brickfield Road to a point 11 metres north-east of that junction.

• The south-east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 38 and 40 Carolina Road to a point 7 metres north-east of the junction with Brickfield Road.

Clyde Avenue, South Croydon

Both sides, from its junction with Limpsfield Road south-westwards for 15 metres

Downsview Road, Upper Norwood

Both sides, between its junction with Beulah Hill and the southern boundary of Beulah Vista Care Home, Nos. 283 to 287 Beulah Hill.

Green Lane, Purley

Both sides, from its junction with Woodcote Drive south-westwards for 10 metres.

Harewood Gardens, South Croydon

Both sides, from its junction with Limpsfield Road north-eastwards for 12 metres

Heathfield Vale, South Croydon

Both sides, from its junction with Selsdon Park Road to a point 7 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Selsdon Park Road Slip Road (fronting property Nos. 5 to 57).

Hilton Way, South Croydon

Both sides, from its junction with Limpsfield Road south-westwards for 15 metres

Limpsfield Road, South Croydon

The south-west side

• From a point 9.7 metres north-west of the junction with Hilton Way to the common boundary of Nos. 242 and 244 Limpsfield Road.

• From the common boundary of Nos. 250 and 252 Limpsfield Road to the common boundary of Nos. 254 and 256 Limpsfield Road.

The north-east side

• From the common boundary of Nos. 275 and 277 Limpsfield Road to the south-eastern boundary of No. 283 Limpsfield Road.

Nursery Avenue, Croydon

The west side, from its junction with Nursery Close northwards for 7 metres.

Nursery Close, Croydon

The north side, from its junction with Nursery Avenue westwards for 7 metres.

Peaks Hill, Purley

Both sides, from its junction with Woodcote Drive north-eastwards for 10 metres.

Penshurst Road, Thornton Heath

The corner outside No. 80 Penshurst Road, extending the existing restrictions to start at the common boundary of Nos. 78 and 80 Penshurst Road, and finish at a point 7 metres south-east of the junction with the north-east to south-west arm of Penshurst Road.

Princes Way, Croydon,

The west side, extending the existing restrictions adjacent to No. 3a Princes Way southwards by 15.5 metres.

Redbarn Close, Purley

• The north-east side, from its junction with Whytecliffe Road North south-eastwards for 7 metres.

• The south-west side, from its junction with Whytecliffe Road North south-eastwards for 10.5 metres.

Rowdown Crescent, New Addington

• Both sides, from its northernmost junction with King Henry’s Drive eastwards for 10 metres.

• Both sides, from its southernmost junction with King Henry’s Drive eastwards for 10 metres.

• The bend outside Nos. 11 and 13 (the south and west sides) from the southern end to the western end of the grass verge.

• The bend outside No. 33 (the north and west sides) from a point opposite the southern wall of No. 33 to a point opposite the eastern wall of No. 33.

Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon

The north-west side, extending the existing restrictions at its junction with Farnborough Crescent to finish at a point 5 metres south-west of the junction with Heathfield Vale.

Selsdon Park Road Slip Road, South Croydon (Fronting property Nos. 5 to 57)

• The north-west side, from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Heathfield Vale to a point 3 metres north-east of that junction.

• The south-east side, from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Heathfield Vale to a point 10 metres north-east of that junction.

Sussex Road, South Croydon

Converting the existing lengths of single yellow line (on the north side, outside No. 1 Sussex Road and adjacent to the flank wall of No. 145 St Peter’s Street, and on the south side, adjacent to the rear of Nos. 11 to 25 Sunny Nook Gardens) into double yellow lines in Sussex Road between Selsdon Road and the railway bridge.

Tavistock Grove, Croydon

Converting the existing length of single yellow line on the south-east side outside Nos. 2 and 2a Tavistock Grove into double yellow lines.

The Crossways, Coulsdon

The south-east side, extending the existing restrictions at the junction with Coulsdon Road by 12.3 metres so that they finish at a point opposite the bus stop markings (the same finishing point as the restrictions on the opposite side of the road).

Whytecliffe Road North, Purley

The south-east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 84 and 86 to the common boundary of Nos. 90 and 92 Whytecliffe Road North.

Woodcote Drive, Purley

Both sides, for 10 metres either side of its junction with Peaks Hill / Green Lane (measured northwards from the northern kerb-line of Peaks Hill and southwards from the southern kerb-line of Green Lane).

Woodfield Close, Coulsdon

The entire length, both sides, except for:

• The north-west side, from a point 1 metre south-west of the north-eastern wall of No. 1 Woodfield Close south-westwards for 22 metres.

Woodfield Hill, Coulsdon

Both sides, from a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Woodfield Close to its junction with Brighton Road.
