ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) AND 15(2) (AS AMENDED)

ALBERT ROAD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. *) ORDER 202*

The Council of the London Borough of Brent hereby give notice that, to facilitate construction of a new development and associated works in Albert Road, they intend to make an Order under sections 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to prohibit:-

(a) pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the length of the south-eastern footway of Albert Road, which lies between a point 15.00 metres north-east of the north-eastern building wall of Nos. 113 to 128 Carlton House, Canterbury Terrace and a point 20.00 metres south-west of the south-western building wall of Nos. 113 to 128 Carlton House, Canterbury Terrace;

(b) vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading in that length of Albert Road, the south-east side, which lies between a point 15.00 metres north-east of the north-eastern building wall of Nos. 113 to 128 Carlton House, Canterbury Terrace and a point 20.00 metres south-west of the south-western building wall of Nos. 113 to 128 Carlton House, Canterbury Terrace;

when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions referred to in (a) and (b) above would come into operation on 26th August 2024 and would remain in force until the said works are completed, whereupon it would then be revoked by a further Order made by the Council. It is anticipated that the works would be completed by 26th August 2026.

Access to premises in or adjacent to Albert Road would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

Pedestrians affected by the prohibitions referred to in (a) above should proceed by way of an adjacent footway.
