PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

The Worthing Borough Council has completed a review of Steyne Gardens Conservation Area.

Notice is hereby given that, on 25th July 2024, Worthing Borough Council adopted the Conservation Area Character Appraisal. In carrying out the review Worthing Borough Council has exercised the powers granted by Section 69 (2) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. The review has looked at the character, the appearance and the special architectural and historic interest of Steyne Gardens and has concluded that the boundary is extended by the addition of Denton Gardens (including Putting Green Kiosk), Kiosks on Beach Parade, Chalets on Beach Parade, Beach House East & West Car Park, Volleyball Court, Beach House Grounds and Beach House Park (including the Club House, West Pavilion, Central Pavilion & Public Conveniences) including properties Beach House, 65 Brighton Road, 67 Cow & Oak Public House, 1-3 Park Road, 2 Park Lodge Park Road, 2 Park Lodge Flats Park Road & No. 62-72 Park Road.
