TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order “the London Borough of Ealing (Stopping Up of Highways) (No.*) Order 202*” under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following lengths of highway which are shown hatched on the stopping up order plan: -

Northfield Avenue, west side, the area of highway in line with the southern wall of No. 69 Sherwood Close (Target House), extending southward along the back of the footway of the main carriageway of Northfield Avenue for a distance of 11.59 metres, continuing through the quarter-circle-shaped ramp linking Northfield Avenue to Sherwood Close for a further distance of approximately 16.1 meters, with a varying width between 2.1 metres and 2.5 metres.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to carry out the development described in the schedule to this notice in accordance with the planning permission granted on 23rd October 2015 to Latimer Developments Limited under reference P/2014/6383

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during the period of 28 days commencing on the 9th October 2024 by e-mail to trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or at the offices of Ealing Council Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, and may be obtained free of charge from the London Borough of Ealing (quoting reference P/2014/6383) at that address.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order, within the period of 28 days commencing on the 9th October 2024 and ending on the 6th November 2024, by notice to the London Borough of Ealing quoting the above reference sent by e-mail to trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or posted to the Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL.

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

NORTHFIELD AVENUE, LONDON W13

The development will consist of the demolition of all buildings within Sherwood Close (including 209 residential units) and the construction of 305 new residential units in four apartment buildings. The development will also include a community space, refuse and recycling facilities; bicycle storage; car parking spaces and hard and soft landscaping (including public, semi-private and private amenity space) and public realm improvements.

The public highway will be configurated, including the construction of two new north-south streets between Sherwood Close and Tawny Close, and the construction of new pedestrian / cycle routes.
