The Secretary of State hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a length of unnamed highway which lies to the rear of No’s 8-20 Co-operative Street, the whole of the unnamed highway connecting Co-operative Street and Victoria Street and a length of unnamed highway that lies to the rear of Co-operative Street and Victoria Street at Rotherham, in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley.

If the Order is made, the stopping up will be authorised to enable development as permitted by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, under reference 2024/0611.

Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Goldthorpe Library, Barnsley Road, S63 9NE in the 28 days commencing on 21 November 2024, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/5901) at the address stated below.

Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, quoting the above reference. Objections should be received by midnight on 19 December 2024.
