NEW CAR CLUB PARKING PLACE AND CHANGES TO AN EXISTING PARKING PLACE LILFORD ROAD
(NOTE:- This notice is about the reduction in length of an existing shared use residents, business and pay by phone parking place in Lilford Road and a new car club parking place at that location instead.)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth on 19 November 2024 made the Lambeth (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 46) Order 2024 and The Lambeth (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 49) Order 2024 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to reduce the length of a shared use residents, business and pay by phone parking place situated on the south-west side of Lilford Road, outside Nos. 1 to 70 Lilford House (approximately 18.06 metres north-west of Coldharbour Lane) by 5 metres and provide a new car club parking place at that location instead.
3. The car club parking place described above will operate at any time and without time limit and will be for use by 1 vehicle displaying either a valid hard copy or electronically registered car club permit. Where a car club parking place is introduced in a controlled parking zone, any vehicle that displays a valid car club permit relating to that parking place will be allowed to park in the on-street residents’ parking places and shared use (residents’/business/pay by phone) parking places situated within that controlled parking zone.
4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on 2 December 2024 and other documents giving detailed particulars about them are available for inspection online at: https://streets.appyway.com/lambeth or www.lambeth.gov.uk/traffic-management-orders and at the offices of Lambeth Council’s Parking and Enforcement Group (Parking, Network Management & Fleet), 3rd Floor, Civic Centre, 6 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1EG, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays excluding Bank or Public Holidays, until the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made. 5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
