THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 30) ORDER 2024

THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 30) ORDER 2024

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 21 November 2024, has made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders, which will come into effect on 22 November 2024, would be to, on the northern side of Dove Road between its junctions with Essex Road and Henshall Street:

a) introduce an 11-metre-long loading bay approximately 11.3 metres east of the junction with Essex Road;

b) shorten the existing permit holder bay outside Nos. 1–9 Dove Road by 5 metres on its western end and replace with an extension to the existing ‘no waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am-6.30pm Sat 8.30am-1.30pm’ restriction; and

c) align the existing ‘no waiting’ and ‘no loading’ restrictions to the new kerb layout.

3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made.
