THE NATIONAL HIGHWAYS (A52 NOTTINGHAM JUNCTIONS, NOTTINGHAM KNIGHT JUNCTION AND WHEATCROFT JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2024

National Highways Limited (“National Highways”), a strategic highways company, hereby give notice that it has made, and is about to submit to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under Sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 which will authorise National Highways to -

(a) improve highways,

(b) stop up private means of access to premises, and

(c) provide new means of access to premises,

all on or in the vicinity of the A52 Trunk Road Nottingham Knight Junction of the A52 with the A60 Loughborough Road / A60 and the A52 Trunk Road Wheatcroft Junction of the A52 with the A606 and Flawforth Lane in the parishes of Ruddington, Edwalton and Tollerton, in the District of Rushcliffe, in the County of Nottinghamshire

A copy of the Order and the accompanying Map have been deposited and may be seen at all reasonable hours from 25 November 2024 until 20 January 2025 at the following locations:

1. The offices of National Highways Limited, The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN

2. Ruddington Library, Church St, Ruddington, Nottingham NG11 6HD (Opening times Tuesday & Thursday – 9:30am to 5:30pm, Friday – 9:30am to 5.00pm, Saturday – 9:30am to 1.00pm); and

3. West Bridgford Library, Bridgford Rd, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 6AT (Opening times Monday to Thursday – 9:00am to 6:00pm, Friday – 9:00am to 5pm, Saturday – 9:00am to 4.00pm, Sunday 11.00am to 3.00pm),

and may be inspected on the National Highways website at: https://nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/east-midlands/a52-nottingham-junctions/ An Environmental Impact Assessment has been undertaken for the scheme and the Environmental Statement can be inspected at the above locations at all reasonable hours. Copies of the Environmental Statement can also be obtained by writing to the address below, at a cost of £300.

Any person may not later than 20 January 2025, comment on or object to the confirmation of the order or comment on the Environmental Statement by writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, at the National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, or by email to nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk stating the title of the Side Roads Order and the grounds of their objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.

In submitting an objection or representation it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to National Highways to enable your objection or representation to be considered. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection or representation and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed, to National Highways; if there is to be a Public Local Inquiry they will be seen in that form by the public and the Inspector, who may give them less weight as a result. National Highways may disclose your objections or representations, with your name and address removed, to other parties acting on its behalf.
