1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (“the Council”) on 9 December 2024 made the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Disabled Resident Parking Places Orders and the Disabled Persons Permit Parking Places Order will be to designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons who are resident within the Boleyn, Canning Town North, East Ham, Green Street North, Little Ilford, Manor Park, Market Street, Monega, Plaistow North, Plaistow South, Prince Regent, Royal Docks East, Stratford North East, Stratford North West, Stratford South East, Upton Park, and Wakefield Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), who meet the current criteria for the provision of parking places for disabled persons and who have been issued disabled resident parking permits for their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g., to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers. A single parking place will be designated at each of the locations listed below. (NOTE – At locations where an ‘overlap’ is also stated, the proposed parking place will overlap the frontage of the adjacent property numbers, by up to 1 metre unless otherwise mentioned): -
Boleyn Controlled Parking Zone – No. 27 Central Park Road, E6 (overlaps No. 25);
Canning Town North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 42 Sutton Road, E13 (overlaps No. 40);
East Ham Controlled Parking Zone – No. 171 Browning Road, E12 (overlaps No. 173), No. 95 Burges Road, E6 (overlaps No. 97 by 2 metres), No. 44 Gladstone Avenue, E12 (overlaps No. 46) and No. 41 Sibley Grove, E12 (overlaps No. 43);
Green Street North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 51 Whyteville Road, E7 (overlaps No. 53);

Wakefield Controlled Parking Zone - No. 10 Courtland Road, E6 (overlaps No. 12 by 1.3 metres).
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 16 December 2024 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
