The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highways (North East) (No.34) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up of eight part widths of Bevan Square, three lengths of unnamed footpath and two areas of highway in the vicinity of Bevan Square and Clarke Terrace at Seaham in the County of Durham. This is to enable development as permitted by Durham County Council under reference, DM/23/00532/FPA.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5773). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Believe Housing, The Glebe Centre Durham Place, Murton, Seaham, County Durham, SR7 9BX.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 23 December 2024.
