THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (BANNED MOVEMENTS) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 THE A3212 AND A3036 GLA ROADS AND SIDE ROADS (MILLBANK, HORSEFERRY ROAD, LAMBETH PALACE ROAD AND LAMBETH ROAD) VARIATION ORDER 2025

THE GLA ROADS (LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH) (BUS PRIORITY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2009 THE A3203 AND A3036 (LAMBETH BRIDGE, LAMBETH PALACE ROAD AND ALBERT EMBANKMENT) VARIATION ORDER 2025

THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (WESTMINSTER) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2008 A3212 GLA ROAD AND SIDE ROADS (MILLBANK AND HORESFERRY ROAD) VARIATION ORDER 2025

1. Transport for London in consultation with the London Borough of Lambeth hereby gives notice that on 24th January 2025 it made the above named Orders, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Orders will come into force on 6th February 2025.

2. The general nature and the effect of the Orders will be to:

(1) introduce No Stopping at Any Time restrictions on both sides of the A3212 Millbank between its junction with the A3203 Lambeth Bridge and a point 44 metres northwards;

(2) introduce No Stopping at Any Time restrictions on both sides of the B232 Horseferry Road between its junction with the A3212 Millbank and 9.5 metres east of the extended western building line of Thames House Nos. 11 to 12 Millbank;

(3) make administrative changes to the existing No Stopping At Any Time restrictions on A3212 Millbank adjacent to its junction the A3203 Lambeth Bridge;

(4) make administrative changes to the underlying descriptions of the extents of the A3212 Millbank, Grosvenor Road, and B232 Horseferry Road, correcting earlier oversights;

(5) prohibit all vehicles from turning left from A3212 Millbank into the B323 Horseferry Road;

(6) prohibit all vehicles from turning right from A3212 Millbank into the B323 Horseferry Road;

(7) prohibit all vehicles from turning left from B323 Horseferry Road into the A3212 Millbank;

(8) prohibit all vehicles proceeding eastwards on the B323 Horseferry Road from proceeding in any direction apart from straight ahead on to the A3203 Lambeth Bridge at its junction with the A3212 Millbank;

(9) prohibit all vehicles from turning right from the A3203 Lambeth Road into the A3036 Lambeth Palace Road;

(10) prohibit all vehicles from turning left from the A3036 Lambeth Palace Road into the A3203 Lambeth Road;

(11) remove the eastbound bus lane on the A3203 Lambeth Bridge;

(12) extend the southbound bus lane on the A3036 Lambeth Palace Road between Lambeth Palace Library and Lambeth Road by 105 metres at its northern end and by 17 metres at its southern end;

(13) extend the southbound bus lane on the A3036 Albert Embankment between Lambeth Road and Glasshouse Walk by 9 metres at its northern end;

(14) split the northbound bus lane on the A3036 Albert Embankment between its junctions with Tinworth Street and Lambeth Bridge creating a bus lane between the extended common boundary of Nos 27 and 30 Albert Embankment and a point 6 meters south of the northern building line of Nos.10 to 11 Albert Embankment and a bus lane between a point 18 metres south of the extended northern building line of No. 8 Albert Embankment (London Fire Brigade Headquarters) and a point 15 metres south of the extended common boundary of Nos 3 and 4 Albert Embankment;

(15) revoke any traffic Orders which relate to the compelling traffic to proceed clockwise around the roundabouts at the junctions of Lambeth Bridge with Millbank and Albert Embankment / Lambeth Palace Road. These roundabouts will be removed.

3. The roads which will be affected by the Orders are A3212, A3203 and A3036 GLA Roads – Millbank, Lambeth Bridge, Lambeth Road, Lambeth Palace Road and Albert Embankment in the City of Westminster and London Borough of Lambeth.

4. A copy of the Orders, a map indicating the location and effect of the Orders and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Orders can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. Please note due to Hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents may be delayed.

5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
