Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
The Trustees of the Sharpe Pritchard Superannuation Scheme
Notice under section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the trustees of the Sharpe Pritchard Superannuation Scheme (the “Trustees” and the “Scheme”) intend to make a distribution of any remaining assets to facilitate the winding up of the Scheme.
The Trustees of the Scheme have recently issued communications to all members and beneficiaries currently receiving benefits or with a known entitlement to benefits under the Scheme and wish to trace anyone else who thinks they have (or may have) a claim against the Scheme or an interest or entitlement to a benefit under the Scheme.
Therefore, the following persons are requested to write to the Trustees at the address given below:
(a) an employee or former employee of Sharpe Pritchard or Sharpe Pritchard LLP (together the “Firm”) (or any other relevant employer who you believe participated in the Scheme) who believes that he/she was a member of the Scheme and who has not been recently contacted in respect of his/her membership of the Scheme;
(b) any person who believes themselves to be a beneficiary of the Scheme as a widow, widower, civil partner, child, dependant or other beneficiary of a deceased member of the Scheme; and
(c) any other person who believes they have a claim against, or an interest in, the Scheme.
Claimants should provide their full name, address, date of birth, National Insurance number and either details of when they were members of the Scheme or employed by the Firm (or where they are claiming as a widow, widower, civil partner, child, dependant or other beneficiary of a deceased member, the membership or employment details of said member).
Your claim must arrive on or before 18th April 2025. Late claims may not be accepted.
As soon as possible after the expiry of this notice on 18th April 2025, the Trustees will complete the winding up of the Scheme, having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have prior notice.
The Trustees shall not be liable to any person of whose claim, demand, interest or entitlement they have not had notice in respect of the assets of the Scheme or any part of it so distributed.
Please note that if you have received any correspondence from the Trustees within the last six months then the Trustees are aware of your benefits within the Scheme and there is no need to make a claim.
