THE HACKNEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Hackney, in accordance with the Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980 as amended proposes to introduce raised junction tables, as detailed in schedule 1 of this notice.
2. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended;
The general effect of the Order will be as follows;
a) Dove Row (Goldsmith’s Row junction) - Introduce a prohibition of driving from a point in line with the western kerbline of Goldsmith’s Row westwards for 9 metres operating “at any time” with exemptions for any vehicle being used for Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulances purposes, LB Hackney waste services vehicles and pedal cycles.
a) Whiston Road (between Hay Street and Goldsmith’s Row / Pritchard’s Road) - Introduce a prohibition of driving from a point in line with the western kerbline of Pritchard’s Road / Goldsmith’s Row westwards for 29 metres, operating “at any time” with exemptions for HAC01 permit holders and any vehicle being used for Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulances purposes, LB Hackney waste services vehicles and pedal cycles.

Note: The carriageway will be elevated to install raised junction tables. The maximum height of the table will be 100mm.

Whiston Road: From a point in line with the western kerbline of Pritchard’s Road / Goldsmith’s Row westwards for 31 metres
