1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hounslow on the 26 March 2025 made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 9, 10 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order will come into force on the 4 April 2025 and may continue in force for up to 18 months.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to:

(a) Implement Electric Vehicles Only Parking Bays operating outside controlled parking zone times, the bay would be for the use of electric vehicles at each of the following locations;

(b) Implement Electric Vehicles only Parking Bays operating during controlled parking zone times, the bay would be for the use of electric vehicles who are permit holders only during their respective location’s existing controlled parking zone hours, at each of the following locations;

Central Chiswick;

Ashbourne Grove, outside the rear of No. 61 Wilton Avenue.

Riverview Area;

Grove Park Terrace, outside No. 32 Grove Park Terrace.

East Chiswick;

Thornton Avenue, outside No. 6 Thornton Avenue; Thornton Avenue, outside No. 62 Thornton Avenue

3. Electric Vehicles parked within the Electric Vehicles Only Parking Bays mentioned within Section 2 of this Notice that the Vehicle must be charging.

4. Documents giving further information of the Experimental Orders can be viewed from the date of this Notice until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date that the Experimental Orders are made Permanent or the Council decides not to make the Experimental Orders permanent online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar and at Hounslow Library, Hounslow House First Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB or at The Reception of Hounslow House, Ground Floor, 7 Bath Road, TW3 3EB on Mondays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 8pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9.30am and 5.30pm or on Sundays between 11.30am and 4.00pm.

5. The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely by means of a Permanent Order. Any person desiring to object to the making of the Experimental Order for the purpose of such indefinite continuation may, within six months of the Experimental Order coming into operation, or if the Experimental Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the date on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification comes into force, send a statement in writing of the objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Acting Assistant Director for Traffic, Transport and Parking, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow TW3 3EB or by email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/E003/24.

6. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the experimental Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
