ROYAL MAIL GROUP PLC SCHEME OP 3/2003

Note: The Scheme which follows this Note is made under section 89 of the Postal Services Act 2000 and amends the Successor Postal Services Company Overseas Parcel Post Scheme 2001. The Scheme, which comes into force on 8th January 2004, revises certain postal charges.

ROYAL MAIL GROUP PLC OVERSEAS PARCEL POST (AMENDMENT NO. 7) SCHEME 2003

Royal Mail Group plc (a) by virtue of the powers conferred upon it by Section 89 of the Postal Services Act 2000 (b) and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, hereby makes the following Scheme:

Commencement and citation

1 (1) This Scheme shall come into operation on 8th January 2004 and may be cited as the Royal Mail Group plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 7) Scheme 2003.

(2) This Scheme shall be read as one with the Successor Postal Services Company Overseas Parcel Post Scheme 2001 (c) (hereinafter called “the Scheme”), as amended by the Consignia plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 1) Scheme 2001, (d) the Consignia plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 2) Scheme 2001,(e) the Consignia plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 3) Scheme 2002,(f) the Consignia plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 4) Scheme 2002,(g) the Royal Mail Group plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 5) Scheme 2003 (h) and the Royal Mail Group plc Overseas Parcel Post (Amendment No. 6) (i).

Storage fees

In paragraph 27 (b and c) of Part 3 of the Scheme (Parcels in bond) for the figure £5.35 there shall be substituted £5.50 and for the figure £1.30 there shall be substituted £1.35.

Compensation

In Schedule 3 Part I the current provision shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced by the following:-
