FLOOD PREVENTION (SCOTLAND) ACT 1961
THE Argyll & BUTE COUNCIL
ROTHESAY FLOOD PREVENTION SCHEME 2002

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 4 and of the Second Schedule to the Flood Prevention (Scotland) Act 1961, that The Argyll and Bute Council for the purpose of preventing or monitoring the flooding of land in their area, not being agricultural land, intend to apply to the Scottish Executive for confirmation of a Flood Prevention Scheme under Section 4(1) of the said Act, providing for the execution of certain flood prevention operations in Rothesay to mitigate flooding from sea or tidal ingress. A copy of the Scheme and the relevant plans may be inspected without payment of fee at Argyll and Bute Council Offices, Transportation and Property, Eaglesham House, Mountpleasant Road, Rothesay during the hours 9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm Monday to Fridays inclusive, excepting Public Holidays, all for a period of 3 months from 6th September 2002 to 6th December 2002.

Any person may within the 3 month period by notice to the Scottish Ministers object to the confirmation of this Scheme. Any such objection should be sent to the Scottish Executive, Environmental Group, Air Climate and Engineering Unit, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, EH6 6QQ.
