NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that the following applications for consent to discharge have been made to SEPA:

Ref: WPC/W/30962

Application by Adams Partnership for a discharge of up to 6.75 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent from a proposed housing development at Slatemill, Annick View, Irvine to the Annick Water at National Grid Reference NS 3340 3875.

Ref: WPC/W/30963

Application by D & A Builders for a discharge of up to 8.9 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent from an emergency overflow at a new sewage pumping station at 153-161 Main Street, Dreghorn to the Annick Water at National Grid Reference NS 3545 3850. It should be noted that this proposed discharge of sewage is an emergency overflow and will occur only in the event of power failure or breakdown of the sewage pumping station.

Any person who wishes to make representations about any of these applications should do so in writing to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, G74 5PP, not later than 22nd July 2003, quoting the reference number. Representations made by the above date may be made available to any person if consent is given by the person making the representation. Representations should clearly state whether such consent is given.

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge at the above address, and at the SEPA District Office at 31 Miller Road, Ayr at all reasonable hours.
