NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has bean made to SEPA by West Lothian Council, Lammermuir House, Owen Square, Livingston, EH54 6PW for consent to discharge 2.4 million litres per day of treated minewater to an unnamed tributary of the River Almond at NGR NS 976 662 from a temporary minewater treatment plant at Riddochill Bing, Inchmuir Road, Whitehill Industrial Estate, Bathgate EH48 2E.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, Clearwater House, Heriot Watt Research Park, Avenue North, Riccarton, Edinburgh. EH14 4AP not later than 4th May 2004 quoting reference WPC/E/71251.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge, at the above address.
