CONTROL OF POLLUTION ACT 1974, SECTION 36(1)(a)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge:-

WPC/N/72008 - emergency overflow of screened sewage from Sir Archibald Road Pumping Station, Thurso (in the event of electrical or mechanical failure) to controlled waters namely the River Thurso at NGR ND 1213 6844

WPC/N/72010 - treated sewage effluent from Thurso Wastewater Treatment Plant, Thurso East to controlled waters namely Thurso Bay at NGR ND 1320 7001

Any person who wishes to make representations about these applications should do so in writing to The Registrars, SEPA Dingwall Office, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall, IV15 9XB not later than 30th December 2004 quoting reference WPC/N/72008 or WPC/N/72010.

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at the above address or at the SEPA Thurso office, Thurso Business Park, Thurso, KW14 7XW.
