NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge 4623.83m3 per day of treated sewage effluent to the River Dee at NGR NX 73721 60233 from Castle Douglas Wastewater Treatment Works.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP not later than 29 July 2005, quoting reference WPC/W/72722.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the above SEPA office during normal business hours, and by prior arrangement at the local SEPA office at Penkiln Bridge Court, Minnigaff, Newton Stewart (tel. 01671 402618).
