The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 6) Order 1997

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on the application of Derek Homer Associates he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 6) Order 1997”, authorising the stopping up of three lengths of all purpose highway at Molteno Road, Watford, Hertfordshire to enable development consisting of the erection of 22 four bedroom houses involving the demolition of the existing 22 houses to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Charles Church Developments Ltd, by Watford Council, on 17th July 1997, under Ref. 97/0116/9.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/Y1945/35/1/06) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Watford Council, Planning and Transportation Department, Town Hall, Watford, Hertfordshire WD1 3EX.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 8th January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
