BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

The County Council of Avon (Various Roads, Central Area, City of Bath) (Traffic and Environmental Study) (Street Parking Places) (Waiting Restrictions) (Variation) Order 1998 Notice is hereby given that on 14th January 1998, the Bath and North East Somerset District Council made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 32(1) and 35(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is as described in the Notice of Proposal originally published by Avon County Council in Issue Number 54297 of The London Gazette dated 24th January 1996, under Reference Number 481 except that references to John Street and Quiet Street therein have been omitted.   [ Note.   The Notice of Proposal for this Order was originally advertised by the County Council of Avon prior to Local Government Re-Organisation and is being implemented by its successor authority by virtue of regulations made under the Local Government Act 1992).   The Order will come into operation on 23rd January 1998, and a copy thereof together with a map and a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the undermentioned offices (please call our Engineering Hotline on (01225) 394 041 for an appointment) during normal office hours.   Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks after the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
