Stopping-up of Highways at Higher Openshaw, Manchester

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on the application of The Bernard Taylor Partnership, on behalf of Mosscare Housing Limited, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (City of Manchester) (No. 2) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of Lassington Avenue, Rudford Avenue and a length of Bransford Road from its junction with Chariot Street eastward for 29 metres and part of Cradley Avenue at its westerly cul-de-sac end being part of the turning circle on its northerly side at Higher Openshaw, Manchester.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5082/35/1/59), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Manchester City Council, Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester.   Any person aggrieved by the Order, and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 27th January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
