Notice is hereby given in accordance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark proposes to make the above-mentioned Order.   The proposed Order would be made under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general of the Orders would be to:   (a) introduce waiting restrictions in various lengths of road as shown in the Schedule to this notice;   (b) introduce coach bays on the south-western side of Townley Road as follows:       (i) from a point 173 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of East Dulwich Grove, for a distance of 16 metres in a south-eastern direction (1 bay);       (ii) from a point 22 metres south east of the north-eastern kerb-line of the south-easternmost vehicular entrance to Alleyns School S.E.21, for a distance of 48 metres in a south-eastern direction (3 bays).   A copy of the proposed Orders, the Southwark (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Order 1976, together with plans and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published in the Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES.   Further information may be obtained from Mike Xiberras, Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department (Traffic Group), Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, or by telephoning 0171-525 5466.   Any persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Regeneration and Environment, Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, quoting reference PR/CQ/T1.2-250 within the aforementioned period of 21 days. 1. Ilderton Road:   (a) the east side, from a point opposite the southern kerb-line of Surrey Canal Road for a distance of 140 metres in a southerly direction;   (b) the west side, from a point opposite the southern kerb-line of Penarth Street for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. 2. Penarth Street, the south side, from a point opposite the western kerb-line of Ilderton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. 3. Rollins Street, both sides, from a point opposite the eastern kerb-line of Ilderton Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction. 4. Comber Grove, the west side, from the western kerb-line with Wyndham Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. 5. Wyndham Road, the south side, from the western kerb-line of Comber Grove for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. 6. Southwark Park Road:   (a) the south side, from a point opposite the west flank wall of 92 Southwark Park Road to a point 1.37 metres east of the western flank wall of 94 to 116 Southwark Park Road;   (b) the north side, from a point 2.3 metres west of a point opposite the eastern flank wall of 87 Southwark Park Road for a distance of 35.1 metres in an easterly direction. 7. Reverdy Road, both sides, from its junction with Southwark Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction. 8. Yalding Road:   (a) the east side, from its junction with Southwark Park Road for a distance of 13.4 metres in a north-western direction;   (b) the west side, from its junction with Southwark Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north-westerly direction. 9. Browning Street, at its junctions with (a) Colworth Grove, (b) Walcorde Avenue, (c) Turquand Street, (d) Cotham Street, (e) Brandon Street, (f) King and Queen Street and (g) Morecambe Street. 10. Colworth Grove, both sides, from its junction with Browning Street for 6 metres in a north-westerly direction. 11. Walcorde Avenue, both sides, from its junction with Browning Street to a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 25 Browning Street on the south-west side and a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 27 Browning Street on the north-east side. 12. Turquand Street, both sides, from its junction with Browning Street to a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 39 Browning Street on the south-west side, and a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 41 Browning Street on the north-east side. 13. Cotham Street, both sides, from its junction with Browning Street to a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 55 Browning Street on the south-west side, and a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 17 Browning Street on the north-east side. 14. King and Queen Street, both sides, from its junction with Browning Street for a distance of 9 metres on the south-west side and a distance of 12 metres on the north-east side. 15. Morecambe Street:   (a) the south-west side, from a point opposite the south-west kerb-line of Cotham Street south-eastwards for a distance of 4 metres.   (b) the north-east side, from its junction with Browning Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 11 metres. 16. Brandon Street, the south-west side, between a point opposite the north-western boundary of Nos. 90-92 Brandon Street and a point 5 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Browning Street.

No waiting by vehicles between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday to Friday inclusive

17. Townley Road:   (a) the north-east side, from its junction with the south-eastern kerb-line of East Dulwich Grove for a distance of 180 metres in a south-eastern direction.   (b) the south-west side:       (i) from its junction with the south-eastern kerb-line of East Dulwich Grove for a distance of 173 metres in a south-eastern direction;       (ii) from a point opposite the north-western kerb-line of the south-easternmost vehicular entrance to Alleyns School for a distance of 22 metres in a south-eastern direction;       (iii) from a point 72 metres south-east of a point opposite the north-western kerb-line of the south-easternmost vehicular entrance to Alleyns School to a point opposite the north-western flank wall of No. 24 Townley Road. 29th January 1998.
