TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway land adjacent to Harbour House, Town Quay, Southampton. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to HGP Greentree Allchurch Evans Ltd., on behalf of Ocean Village Holdings Ltd., by Southampton City Council, on 11th September 1997, under Ref. 970125/23116/E. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 6th February 1998, at the offices of Southampton City Council, Civic Centre, Southampton SO14 7LS, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the South East, Head of Transport West (quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/SOTO/002), at the address stated below. During the above-mentioned period of 28 days, anyone may object to the making of the Order, by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/SOTO/002, and addressing their objection to the Head of Transport West, Government Office for the South East, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected by it. J.
