Notice by the Highway Authority of Intention to Apply to Magistrates’ Court for Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 for the Stopping-up of Vehicular Access to part of the Highway known as Nether Cantley Lane, Cantley, Doncaster. Notice is hereby given that Doncaster Borough Council being the Highway Authority for the highway specified in the Schedule hereto, that an application will be made to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at College Road, Doncaster, on 16th April 1998, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising part of the highway known as Nether Cantley Lane, Cantley, Doncaster, to be stopped-up to vehicular traffic (but subject to the reservation of the footpath and bridleway) as specified in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that use of the highway for vehicular purposes is unnecessary. The effect of the proposed Order as shown on the plan deposited at the offices of the Director of Law, Property and Administrative Services, Copley House, Waterdale, Doncaster, which may be inspected, free of charge, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. until 16th April 1998. On the hearing of the application any person who has an interest in the land abutting on or served by the said length of highway or uses the said highway or is otherwise aggrieved shall have a right to be heard. That part of the highway known as Nether Cantley Lane, Cantley, Doncaster, in the county of South Yorkshire, between points A and B on the deposited plan being adjacent to Nether Cottage and Home Farm, Nether Cantley. 10th February 1998.
