Notice of application to stop up Highway to the side of properties formerly known as 15 Johnson Street, St. Helens

Notice is hereby given that St. Helens Borough Council intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Corporation Street, St. Helens, on Tuesday, 24th March 1998, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that the highway mentioned in the Schedule hereto be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary.   A plan showing the highway proposed to be stopped up may be inspected, free of charge, at my office at the Town Hall, St. Helens, during normal office hours.   Any person to whom this notice has been given or who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order may attend and be heard on the application.   That highway adjacent to the northern boundary of the property formerly known as 15 Johnson Street, commencing at the north-east boundary of the property and extending a distance of approximately 20 metres in a south-easterly direction for a width of approximately 7 metres, then 2 metres for a width of 14 metres. Shown hatched on plan number G10P/8. 11th February 1998.
