The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 2) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of Purslows on behalf of the Post Office, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 2) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of highway in front of the Thetford Post Office entrance at 1 Market Place, Thetford, Norfolk, to enable development consisting of the provision of a disabled person’s access to the post office to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Post Office Counters Ltd., by Breckland District Council on 4th April 1996, under Ref. 3/95/1237/F.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 8LL (quoting GT/F2605/35/1/08), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Breckland District Council, The Guildhall, East Dereham, Norfolk NR19 1EE, and at the address of the clerk to Thetford Town Council, Council Offices, Kings House, King Street, Thetford, Norfolk.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 13th February 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
