LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON

The Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 3) Order 1988

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Croydon, on 10th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order would be to amend existing restrictions so that waiting by vehicles would be prohibited at any time throughout the week in the lengths of Farnborough Avenue, Farnborough Crescent and Selsdon Park Road, specified in the Schedule to this notice.   A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 16th February 1998, of the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991, (and of any Order which has previously amended that Order), can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.   Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Traffic and Highways Section of the Public Services and Works Department, Room 4.06, Municipal Offices, Fell Road, Croydon.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule

Farnborough Avenue:   (a) the north-east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Selsdon Park Road and a point 3 metres south-east of the boundary wall of Nos. 2 and 3 Farnborough Avenue;   (b) the south-west side:

    (i) between the north-western kerb-line of Selsdon Park Road and a point 37.50 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 2 and 3 Farnborough Avenue;     (ii) between the junction with Farnborough Crescent and a point 6 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 10 and 11 Farnborough Avenue. Farnborough Crescent:   (a) between the north-western kerb-line of Selsdon Park Road and a point 42.50 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos. 27and 28 Farnborough Crescent;   (b) the west and north-west side, between the junction with Farnborough Avenue and a point 7 metres north-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 53 and 54 Farnborough Crescent.   the north-west side:     (i) between a point 4 metres north-east of the party wall of Nos. 71 and 73 Selsdon Park Road to a point 6 metres south-west of the party wall of Nos. 75 and 77 Selsdon Park Road;     (ii) between a point 15 metres north-east of the party wall of Nos. 99 and 101 Selsdon Park Road and the party wall of Nos. 105 and 107 Selsdon Park Road. 11th February 1998.
