The Camden (Prescribed Route) (No. 17) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden, on 16th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order. The details of which were previously published in The London Gazette on 12th June 1997, under Ref. No. 501.   The general nature and effect of the proposed (Prescribed Route) Order will be to introduce a vehicle width restriction of 2.2 metres, which would prohibit any vehicle the overall width of which together with the load (if any) from travelling or proceeding in a north-easterly direction through that length of Chetweynd Road which lies at its junction with Highgate Road.   A copy of the Order which will come into force on 23rd February 1998, a plan and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, may be inspected or purchased during normal office hours at the Environment Reception, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ.   Any person wanting to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
