The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 28) Order 1998 Prince Regent Lane, Beaumont Road, Surrey Street, Sussex Street, Wanlip Road, London E.13

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham, on 2nd March 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order will be to:   (A) change the hours of operation of the existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles (including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle or delivering or collecting goods), single yellow lines and single loading “blips”, so that they will apply “at any time”; double yellow lines and double loading “blips” in:       (i)  Beaumont Road, between Prince Regent Lane and Surrey Street;       (ii)  Prince Regent Lane:         (a) the north-east side, between the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Prince Regent Lane and the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 to 15 Prince Regent Lane;         (b) the south-west side, between the common boundary of Nos. 14 and 16 Prince Regent Lane and a point 26 metres south-east of the southern kerb-line of Sussex Street;   (B) impose new restrictions on waiting by vehicles “at any time” (including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle or delivering or collecting goods), double yellow lines and double loading “blips” in:       (i)  Beaumont Road, the south side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Surrey Street and a point 14 metres north-east of that kerb-line;       (ii)  Surrey Street, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Beaumont Road and a point 10 metres south-east of that kerb-line;       (iii)  Sussex Street, between the south-western kerb-line of Prince Regent Lane and a point 19 metres south-west of that kerb-line;       (iv)  Wanlip Road, between the south-western kerb-line of Prince Regent Lane and a point 18.3 metres south-west of that kerb-line;       (v)  Prince Regent Lane, the south-west side, between the common boundary of Nos. 60 and 62 Prince Regent Lane and a point 33 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Wanlip Road.   A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 9th March 1998, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection, during normal office hours, until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force, on Monday to Fridays inclusive at the offices of the Director of Environment, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 4EH. Copies of the Order may be obtained from this address.   If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
