Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that C. J. Tinney, of Housham Hall, Matching Tye, Harlow, Essex CM17 0PB, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Pincey Brook between National Grid References TL 490 125 and TL 505 129, Sheering Parish, Epping Forest District, Essex. The proposal is to abstract water at 292 cubic metres per hour, 7,000 cubic metres per day, and up to 140,000 cubic metres between November and March each year to fill and maintain levels in storage reservoirs for subsequent spray irrigation. The summer water resources in the area will not be affected.   A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Housham Hall, Matching Tye, between 6th March 1998 and 3rd April 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square, St. Albans Road West, Hatfield AL10 9EX, before the end of the said period.
