TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 248 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Northumberland) (No. 2) Order 1998” in the interests of safety of users of, and to facilitate the movement of traffic on the new length of the Paddock, Lanercost Park, East Cramlington, Northumberland, which has been constructed in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Haslam Homes Limited by the Borough of Blyth Valley on 22nd April 1997 under ref. 96/C/0262/P. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director Planning, Environment and Transport, Government Office for the North East, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD (quoting GO-NE/97/5068/35/04) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Borough of Blyth Valley, Civic Centre, Renwick, Blyth, Northumberland. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 13th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. The planning permission granted is for the erection of 94 dwellings with garages (the associated highway works include the re-alignment of the Paddock).
