Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). The general effect of the Order would be to provide additional residents’ parking and to introduce pay and display parking in Gordon Road, Kingston. The waiting and loading restrictions would be amended accordingly to accommodate the parking places.   A copy of each of the proposed Orders, plans which indicate the location and effect of the Orders, a copy of the Kingston-upon-Thames (Parking Places) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1995, a copy of the Kingston-upon-Thames (Free Parking Places) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1994, a copy of the Kingston-upon-Thames (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1994, a copy of the press notice and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders at the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston- upon-Thames KT1 1EU, (between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive); and at Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston-upon-Thames (during normal opening hours).   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Directorate of Environmental Services (Engineering and Transportation), telephone number 0181-547 5910.   Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Environmental Services (Engineering and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Kingston-upon-Thames KT1 1EU, by 6th April 1998.
