Proposed Stopping-up of a Highway at Davyhulme, Manchester

Notice is hereby given that a local inquiry is to be held in connection with the proposal of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions to make an Order under section 247 authorising the stopping-up of part of the northerly side of Coll Drive, Davyhulme and which is a triangular shaped area of highway fronting Nos. 29, 31 and 33 Coll Drive.   If authorised the stopping-up would enable change of use of land from highway to private garden and erection of 1.2 metre high fencing along boundary with Coll Drive.   The inquiry will be held at the Stretford Public Hall, Chester Road, Stretford (near the Arndale Centre), on Thursday, 16th April 1998, at 10 a.m. by Dr. J. H. Ritchie MBE., CIMgt., Architect, an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for the purpose. G.
