Stopping-up of a Highway at Warrington
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of W S Atkins North West, on behalf of the Commission for the New Towns (CNT) he has made an Order under section 248 of the above Act entitled “The County of Cheshire, Pewterspear District Distributor Road Phase 2 (Pewterspear to Appleton Cross, Warrington, Cheshire) Road Scheme (Stopping-up) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of a length of Cann Lane, Appleton Cross, Warrington, Cheshire. Copies of the above-named Orders may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting reference GO/TNW 5150/35/1/12), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Warrington Borough Council, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
