The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 3) Order 1998
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of Great Yarmouth Borough Council he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 3) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of highway at South Quay, Great Yarmouth, to enable development consisting of environmental improvements to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to and by Great Yarmouth Borough Council on 9th September 1997 under Ref. 06/97/0562/SU. The Order plan has been amended subsequent to its draft publication to show a lesser area of highway to be stopped up. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/U2615/35/1/03) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Town Hall, Hall Quay, Great Yarmouth. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
