The Tower Hamlets (Prescribed Routes) (No. ) Traffic Order 199

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to, of the Local Government Act 1985. The Order is required due to the stopping-up of part of Lamb Street and Spital Square for the redevelopment of Spitalfields Market.   The effect of the Order will be to amend the City of London and Tower Hamlets (Prescribed Routes) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1976 so that the existing one-way working will be rescinded in Lamb Street, Spital Square and Brushfield Street between Steward Street and Commercial Street.   A copy of the proposed Order can be inspected at the offices of Customer Services, Southern Grove Lodge, Southern Grove, London E3 4PN, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the above address within the aforementioned period of 21 days.
