Highway at Corncrake Road, Dibdale, Dudley

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Dudley) (No. 2) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of the entire length of Corncrake Road and the stopping-up of public footpaths SE42 and SE43 and requiring the provision of new highway shown as stippled on the deposited plan.   The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council on 23rd December 1997, under Ref. 97/50750.   Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands, at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT, (quoting 5106/35/1/6) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Council House, Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge DY8 2AA.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 24th March 1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
