The Greenwich Council (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. ) Order 199

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The General effect of the Order, would be to further amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994, so that:   (a) waiting restrictions, operative at any time, would be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule 1 to this notice;   (b) waiting restrictions operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive would be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice.   Details of exemptions from the restrictions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Order of 1994. Persons having a query concerning the proposal should contact Development Services, on telephone No. 0181-854 8888, Ext. 5577.   A copy of the proposed Order, the Order being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, together with plans showing the locations can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Development Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ. A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Councils’ Agents, TMO Services, 9 Osprey Close, Whitstable, Kent CT5 4DT, quoting Ref. LBG/1110, by 16th April 1998. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection. Schedule 1

   Court Road, between a point 2 metres south of a point opposite the northern wall of Nos. 401 to 407 Middle Park Avenue and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 56 and 58 Court Road;    Tarnwood Park   (a) the northern arm, between the eastern kerb-line of Court Road and a point 10 metres east of that kerb-line;   (b) the southern arm, between the eastern kerb-line of Court Road and a point 10 metres east of that kerb-line.    Woodmere, between the western kerb-line of Court Road and a point 10 metres west of that kerb-line.

Schedule 2

   Court Road, the east side, between a point 15.24 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Middle Park Avenue and a point 2 metres of a point opposite the northern wall of Nos. 401 to 477 Court Road.    Rochester Way   (a) the north-east side, between north-western kerb-line of Welling Way and a point 40 metres north-west of that kerb-line;   (b) the south-west side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Welling Way and a point 45 metres north-west of that kerb-line.    Middle Park Avenue, the south side, from a point 2 metres east of a point opposite the westernmost wall of Nos. 553 to 639 Middle Park Avenue, westward for a distance of 23 metres.    Welling Way   (a) the north side, between its junction with Rochester Way and a point 81 metres east of that junction;   (b) the south side, between its junction with Rochester Way and a point 84 metres east of that junction.    West Hallowes, between the north-western kerb-line of West Park and a point 10 metres north-west of that kerb-line.    West Park, the north-west side, between a point 15 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of West Hallowes and a point 13 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of West Hallowes. 26th March 1998.
