The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No. 9) Order 1998 The Secretary of State for Transport, Environment and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of K. Pallett, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No. 9) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway land adjacent to No. 11 Mill Road, Henham, Essex, to enable development consisting of the retention of use of highway land as garden land to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to K. Pallett by Uttlesford District Council on 6th December 1996 under Ref. UTT/1069/96/FUL. Copies of the proposed Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to M. Jones, at the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Room 135, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/C1570/ 35/1/26), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Uttlesford District Council, Council Offices, High Street, Great Dunmow, Essex CM6 1AN, and at the Parish notice-board, High Street, Henham, Essex. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 2nd April 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
