Pelican Crossing in Kingsland Road, near Basing Place

Notice is hereby given under section 23(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney intends to install a new pelican crossing in Kingsland Road, near Basing Place.   The pelican crossing will extend across the whole width of the carriageway and the zig-zag markings will extend approximately 16 metres from the stud markings. It will have a left-handed stagger together with a central refuge.   The pelican crossing will be supplemented by guard railing on the footway, extending the whole length of the zig-zag markings and by tactile paving at the crossing points.   Any person wishing to object to the proposal to install the pelican should send a statement in writing to the Service Manager (Land Use and Transportation), 161 City Road, London EC1V 1NR, within 28 days commencing on the day this notice is published.
