Notice of Suggested Changes to Proposals for a Local Plan Torfaen County Borough Local Plan
Notice is hereby given that Torfaen County Borough Council has prepared Suggested Changes to the Torfaen Local Plan, which will be subject of a 6 week public consultation period commencing on Friday, 17th April 1998, and ending at 5 p.m. on Friday, 29th May 1998. Copies of the Suggested Changes document will be available for public inspection and purchase, during normal office hours at the Development Department, 4th Floor, County Hall, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran and the ground floor reception, Civic Centre, Pontypool. Copies of the Suggested Changes document are also available for public inspection during normal opening hours at the Blaenavon, Abersychan, Pontypool and Cwmbran Libraries. Counter-objections to, and representations in respect of the Suggested Changes should be sent in writing to the Director of Development, 4th Floor, County Hall, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran NP44 2WN, no later than 5 p.m., on 29th May 1998. Counter-objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. The Council will not accept counter objections or representations received after this date. Counter-objections or representations must relate only to the Suggested Changes and not to the Deposit Local Plan. The Suggested Changes will be submitted to the Inspector for the Public Local Plan Inquiry into the Torfaen Local Plan which will commence on 16th June 1998. The Inspector will consider these Suggested Changes together with any duly made counter-objections and will make recommendations in his report to Torfaen County Borough Council. The following Local Plan background papers will also be available for public inspection and purchase at the Development Department, 4th Floor, County Hall, Croeyceiliog, Cwmbran and the ground floor reception Civic Centre, Pontypool: The Allocation of Housing Land; Employment; General Development Areas; The Flexible Urban Boundary and Statement of Deposit Public Consultation.
