Stopping-Up of Parts of Wydelands, Northcott Lane, Draycott, Gloucestershire
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-Up of Highways (County of Gloucestershire) (No. SW 1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of part of Wydelands, Northcott Lane, Draycott, Gloucestershire, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission referred to in that Schedule. The Order will provide that the stopping-up must not be carried out until the Developer has entered into a legal agreement with Gloucestershire County Council under section 38 of the Highways Act 1980. The Order will require the improvement of Wydelands by widening and the provision of new highway, along the routes shown on the deposited plan by cross-hatching and stipple respectively, maintainable at the public expense for which the Gloucestershire County Council will be the local highway authority. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB (quoting Ref. GOSW(T) 5056/35/1/100), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Cotswold District Council, Trinity Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 1PX Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring the question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act, or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 18th June 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order, or of any provision contained therein. The demolition of existing PRC dwellings and the construction of 13 new houses and associated external works, in accordance with planning permission granted to Quattro Design, by Cotswold District Council, on 22nd October 1997, under Ref. CD.0956/B.
