Rights to Work Coal in Former Copyhold Land

This notice relates to the land within the parishes/communities of Cridling Stubbs and Womersley, within the district of Selby and the county of North Yorkshire, on a plan numbered 1 which is deposited at the offices of R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd, at Harworth Park, Blyth Road, Harworth, Doncaster DN11 8DB. The plan is available for inspection by appointment with Mr. J. Knapp (telephone 01302 755275) between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, except public holidays.   R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd whose registered office is at Harworth Park, Blyth Road, Harworth, Doncaster DN11 8DB, is authorised by a licence under Part II of the Coal Industry Act 1994, to carry on coal mining operations in respect of the land indicated on the plan referred to in paragraph 1 of this notice.   R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd, hereby give notice that there are proposals to carry on coal mining operations in relation to any coal or coal mine which may require the exercise in relation to the land indicated on the plan referred to in paragraph 1 of this notice of such a right as is mentioned in section 49(1) of the Coal Industry Act 1994, namely to carry on coal mining operations as if all retained interests in the coal or coal mine subsisting on 31st August 1975 were vested in R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd, notwithstanding that they are, by virtue of any enactment, in fact vested in another person.   The owners of retained interests in any coal or coal mine comprised in or lying under the land in the area to which this notice relates are invited to give notice of their interests within a period which begins with the date of first publication of this notice namely 23rd July 1998, and ends 6 years after the coming into force of this notice in accordance with section 49(6) of the Coal Industry Act 1994, to R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd. Any such notices should be sent to R.J.B. Mining (UK) Ltd, Harworth Park, Blyth Road, Harworth, Doncaster DN11 8BD. C.
