Stopping-up part of a Highway

Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on 1st September 1998, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order pursuant to Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto, be stopped-up on the ground that they are unnecessary. A copy of the plan (drawing no. M49.201) showing those parts of the highway to be stopped-up, may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Legal Division of the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Schedule

Part Raby Road/Part Swainson Street, Hartlepool,   (i) that length of highway triangular in shape, with a base measuring approximately 3 metres and a height of approximately 1.5 metres, situated approximately 20.5 metres north of Wesley Chapel and approximately 19.5 metres to the east of the west channel of Swainson Street;   (ii) that length of highway rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 5 metres x 3 metres, situated approximately 24 metres north of Wesley Chapel and approximately 10 metres to the east of the west channel of Swainson Street.
