HIGHWAY AT STONEBOW ROAD, HEREFORD

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Herefordshire) (No. 3) Order 1998, authorising the stopping-up of part of Stonebow Road, the stopping-up of private means of access to premises and the stopping-up of existing footpath at the site of the Hereford County Hospital, and requiring the provision of new means of private access to premises shown as thin hatching on the deposited plan, the provision of new highway shown as stippled on the deposited plan, and improvements of existing highway shown as cross-hatched on the deposited plan. The Order as made will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Hereford City Council on 31st March 1998 under reference HC/970084/PF/E. Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5058/35/1/28) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the County of Herefordshire District Council, Town Hall, St. Owens Street, Hereford HR1 2PJ. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 3rd December 1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
