TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions gives notice, pursuant to section 14(1)(b) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that he has determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications the Wirral Tramway Order 1999 (“the Order”) forthwith after the publication of this notice and it will come into force 21 days after it has been made. The Order was applied for by the Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council of Town Hall, Brighton Street, Wallasey, Wirral L44 8ED. The Order authorises the construction, maintenance and operation of a 240 metres extension of the Council’s existing standard gauge heritage tramway and for related matters. Copies of the Order (once made) may be obtained from the Stationery Office Limited at the address shown on the last page of this Gazette or through booksellers. A. S. D.
