NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that R. W. C. Turnor, of 22 Sugden Road, London SW11 5EF, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Avon (Sherston Branch), at National Grid Reference ST 904863, at Bremilham Mill, Cowage Farm, Foxley, near Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 156 cubic metres per hour, 3,758 cubic metres per day, 1,371,816 cubic metres (per year). The water will be used for driving a low breast under-shot waterwheel using existing wheel, sluice gate and leat. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Site Office, Bremilham Mill, Cowage Farm, Foxley, near Malmesbury, between 6th July and 3rd August 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 4YS, before the end of the said period.
